DISASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the front bumper cover.
    Refer to: Front Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).
  1. Remove the screws and the front bumper cover reinforcement.
  1. On both sides.
    Remove the screws, release the tabs and remove the stone deflector.
    Torque: 18 lb.in (2 Nm)
    1. Disconnect the front park aid camera coaxial cable connector.
    1. Detach the front camera washer hose coupling.
    1. Disconnect the turn signal lamp electrical connectors.
    1. Disconnect the approach detection antenna electrical connector.
    1. Disconnect the ambient air temperature sensor electrical connector.
    1. Disconnect the fog lamp electrical connectors.
    1. Disconnect the RKE exterior sounder electrical connector.
    1. Disconnect the side repeater lamp electrical connectors.
    1. Disconnect the front parking aid sensor electrical connectors.
    1. Disconnect the front active park assist sensor electrical connectors.
    1. Disconnect the bluetooth front exterior antenna electrical connector.

    1. Separate the washer hose retainers.
    1. Separate the harness guides, harness retainers and remove the front bumper cover harness and washer hose line as an assembly.
  1. Remove the bluetooth front exterior antenna.
  1. On both sides.
    Remove the screws and the turn signal lamp assembly.
  1. Remove the RKE exterior sounder.
  1. On both sides.
    Remove the screws and the foglamp assembly.
  1. On both sides.
    Release the tabs and remove the side repeater lamp.
  1. Detach and remove the ambient air temperature sensor.
  1. Remove the screws and the approach detection antenna.
  1. NOTE: Make sure that the isolator rings are installed correctly while installing the sensors.

    If equipped.
    Remove the front parking aid sensors and front active park assist sensors.
    1. Release the tabs.
    1. Remove the front parking aid sensors and front active park assist sensors from the bracket.
  1. Remove the screws, the push pins and the lower radiator close out panel.
  1. Remove the screws, release the tabs and remove the lower radiator grille trim panel.
  1. Release the tabs and remove the lower radiator grille.
  1. Drill the rivets, release the tabs and remove the lower bumper cover panel.
  1. If equipped.
    Release the tabs and remove the front tow hook cover.
  1. If equipped.
    Drill the rivets and remove the license plate bracket.
  1. Remove the screws and the radiator grille reinforcement.
  1. Remove the screws and the radiator grille.
  1. Drill the rivets, release the tabs and remove the radiator grille frame.
  1. On both sides.
    Drill the rivets and remove the front bumper cover to fender bracket.
  1. Remove the screws and the camera bracket.
  1. Remove the front parking aid camera and washer nozzle hose assembly.
  1. Release the tabs and remove the camera washer nozzle.
  1. Remove the screw, release the tab and remove the radiator grille emblem housing assembly.

ASSEMBLY

  1. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
  1. NOTE: Carry out the fallowing step if installing a new front camera.

    Initialize the camera.
  1. Carry out the 360° camera alignment.
    Refer to: 360 Degree View Camera Alignment (413-13B Parking Aid - Vehicles With: Parking Aid Camera, General Procedures).
  1. Adjust the fog lamp.
    Refer to: Front Fog Lamp Adjustment (417-01 Exterior Lighting, General Procedures).
  1. If equipped.
    Check the alignment of the park aid sensors.
    Refer to: Azimuth System Check (413-13C Parking Aid - Vehicles With: Active Park Assist, General Procedures).
    Refer to: Azimuth System Check (413-13A Parking Aid - Vehicles With: Rear Parking Aid, General Procedures).
    Refer to: Elevation System Check (413-13A Parking Aid - Vehicles With: Rear Parking Aid, General Procedures).
  1. If equipped.
    If any sensor fails the check, diagnose the sensor fault.
    Refer to: Parking Aid (413-13C Parking Aid - Vehicles With: Active Park Assist, Diagnosis and Testing).
    Refer to: Parking Aid (413-13A Parking Aid - Vehicles With: Rear Parking Aid, Diagnosis and Testing).
