Lincoln Corsair: Bumpers / Disassembly and Assembly - Front Bumper Cover
DISASSEMBLY
-
Remove the front bumper cover.
Refer to: Front Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).

Remove the screws and the front bumper cover reinforcement.
-
On both sides.
Remove the screws, release the tabs and remove the stone deflector.
Torque:
18 lb.in (2 Nm)

Disconnect the front park aid camera coaxial cable connector.
-
Detach the front camera washer hose coupling.
-
Disconnect the turn signal lamp electrical connectors.
-
Disconnect the approach detection antenna electrical connector.
-
Disconnect the ambient air temperature sensor electrical connector.
-
Disconnect the fog lamp electrical connectors.
-
Disconnect the RKE exterior sounder electrical connector.
-
Disconnect the side repeater lamp electrical connectors.
-
Disconnect the front parking aid sensor electrical connectors.
-
Disconnect the front active park assist sensor electrical connectors.
-
Disconnect the bluetooth front exterior antenna electrical connector.
-
-
Separate the washer hose retainers.
-
Separate the harness guides, harness retainers and
remove the front bumper cover harness and washer hose line as an
assembly.
-
Remove the bluetooth front exterior antenna.
-
On both sides.
Remove the screws and the turn signal lamp assembly.
-
Remove the RKE exterior sounder.
-
On both sides.
Remove the screws and the foglamp assembly.
-
On both sides.
Release the tabs and remove the side repeater lamp.
-
Detach and remove the ambient air temperature sensor.
-
Remove the screws and the approach detection antenna.
-
NOTE:
Make sure that the isolator rings are installed correctly while installing the sensors.
If equipped.
Remove the front parking aid sensors and front active park assist sensors.
-
Release the tabs.
-
Remove the front parking aid sensors and front active park assist sensors from the bracket.
-
Remove the screws, the push pins and the lower radiator close out panel.
-
Remove the screws, release the tabs and remove the lower radiator grille trim panel.
-
Release the tabs and remove the lower radiator grille.
-
Drill the rivets, release the tabs and remove the lower bumper cover panel.
-
If equipped.
Release the tabs and remove the front tow hook cover.
-
If equipped.
Drill the rivets and remove the license plate bracket.
-
Remove the screws and the radiator grille reinforcement.
-
Remove the screws and the radiator grille.
-
Drill the rivets, release the tabs and remove the radiator grille frame.
-
On both sides.
Drill the rivets and remove the front bumper cover to fender bracket.
-
Remove the screws and the camera bracket.
-
Remove the front parking aid camera and washer nozzle hose assembly.
-
Release the tabs and remove the camera washer nozzle.
-
Remove the screw, release the tab and remove the radiator grille emblem housing assembly.
ASSEMBLY

To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.

NOTE:
Carry out the fallowing step if installing a new front camera.
Initialize the camera.
-
Carry out the 360° camera alignment.

Adjust the fog lamp.
Refer to: Front Fog Lamp Adjustment (417-01 Exterior Lighting, General Procedures).

If equipped.
Check the alignment of the park aid sensors.
Refer to: Azimuth System Check (413-13C Parking Aid - Vehicles With: Active Park Assist, General Procedures).

If equipped.
If any sensor fails the check, diagnose the sensor fault.
