Lincoln Corsair: Roof Opening Panel / General Procedures - Power Roof Opening Panel Initialization
Initialization
WARNING:
Keep objects and body parts clear of the glass panel when
carrying out the initialization procedure. During the initialization
procedure, the glass panel closes with high force and cannot detect
objects in its path. Failure to follow this instruction may result in
serious personal injury.
NOTE:
The roof opening panel motor must be initialized when
repairs are carried out on the roof opening panel system, including: any
time the roof opening panel motor has been removed, the roof opening
panel glass (fixed panoramic or sliding) has been removed or adjusted,
or if the roof opening panel frame has been removed.

With the driver’s door closed, start the engine and then turn the engine off.

Open the drivers door.

Place the ignition switch in the ignition ON, engine OFF position.

NOTE:
This step must be started within 4 seconds from the
time the ignition was placed in the ignition ON, engine OFF position. Do
not release the switch until the glass or shield has completed an
open/close cycle.

For sliding glass initialization, press and HOLD
the sliding glass close switch until the glass cycles to the fully
closed position, and then to the fully open position and finally to the
fully closed position. Release the sliding glass closed switch.

For shield initialization, press and HOLD the
shield close switch until the shield cycles to the fully closed
position, and then to the fully open position and finally to the fully
closed position. Release the shield close switch.

Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.

Test the system for normal operation. If the roof
opening panel does not operate correctly, repeat the procedure.

front edge-to-header panel height/flushness...
