Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove both front seats.
Refer to: Front Seat (501-10A Front Seats, Removal and Installation).

Release the clips and remove the floor console rear trim panel.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector.
-
Open the arm rest.
-
Remove the floor console LH side trim panel.
-
Remove the floor console LH side trim panel bolt.
-
Release the floor console LH side trim panel clips.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
-
Remove the push pins and the lower RH insulation panel.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector.
-
On RH side.
Release the clips and remove the fuse block trim panel.
-
Remove the floor console RH side trim panel.
-
NOTICE:
The pin-type retainer must be cut prior to removal or the climate control housing may be damaged.
Cut and discard the RH side trim panel pin-type retainer.
Use the General Equipment: Side Cutter Pliers

Release the floor console RH side trim panel clips.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
-
Remove the bolts and the floor console.
-
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Torque:
28 lb.in (3.2 Nm)
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:
Anytime the parking brake switch electrical
connector has been disconnected, the EPB (electric parking brake) system
is deactivated and a DTC (diagnostic trouble code) is stored in the ABS
(anit-lock brake system) module. Perform the following EBP step to
restore the system and clear the ABS module DTC.
Apply and release the parking brake twice within 5
seconds, pausing with the switch in the NEUTRAL position for
approximately one-half second between each apply and release.
