Lincoln Corsair: Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems / Removal and Installation - Hood Latch
Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the air cleaner inlet pipe.
Refer to: Air Cleaner Intake Pipe (303-12B Intake Air Distribution and
Filtering - 2.3L EcoBoost (199kW/270PS), Removal and Installation).
Refer to: Air Cleaner Intake Pipe (303-12A Intake Air Distribution and
Filtering - 2.0L EcoBoost (177kW/240PS) – MI4, Removal and
Installation).

Remove the hood latch.

If equipped.
Disconnect the hood ajar switch.

Remove the bolts from the hood latch.
Torque:
93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)

Detach the hood release cable from the mounting bracket.

Disconnect the hood latch release cable end and remove the hood latch.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:
The fuel filler door latch is serviced with the fuel filler door assembly.
Remove the fuel filler door assembly.

Front Cable
Remove the hood latch.
