Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the liftgate trim panel.
Refer to: Liftgate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

Remove the liftgate latch bolts.
Torque:
177 lb.in (20 Nm)

NOTE:
Liftgate shown transparent for clarity.
Remove the liftgate latch.

Disconnect the wiring harness electrical connector(s).

Remove the liftgate latch.
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

If equipped.
Carry out the power liftgate Initialization.
Refer to: Power Liftgate Initialization (501-03 Body Closures, General Procedures).
Removal
Remove the liftgate trim panel.
Refer to: Liftgate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
Remove the keyless entry rear antenna...

Moving the Seats Backward and Forward
WARNING: Make sure the seat fully
locks into place by rocking it backward and
forward.
Folding the Seat Backrest (If Equipped)
With the seat empty, pull the lever up to fold
the seat backrest forward. You may need to
lower the center head restraint first...
Removal
Remove the A/C condenser.
Refer to: Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes (307-02A Transmission Cooling

Installation).
Release the clips and remove the transmission fluid cooler from the radiator...
